AT HOME-WITH LESSON PLANS--WITH TEACHER SUPPORT--WITH A SCHEDULE!
CPA Distance Classical School is just like our on-campus Classical School--except students are at home and parents are the teachers. This is a great option for students that don't live close enough to attend our on-campus program or need more flexibility. Students from across the nation are accepted in our CPA Distance Classical School program. The Classical School utilizes the best of Christ-Centered textbooks. Our Christian teachers write the weekly lesson plans and post them online. Student's complete home assignments online and can mail, fax or email work to our teachers for grading. The online Classical School follows our on-campus program schedule.
WHAT DOES THE DISTANCE CLASSICAL SCHOOL INCLUDE?
CPA PRIVATE SCHOOL: Students enrolled in the Classical School Online are automatically enrolled in our CPA Diploma School. Student’s may graduate with a diploma. Students are considered private school student’s not homeschool. Transcripts and attendance records are provided for all students. Students can keep track of work taken in CPA Classical School as well as any additional work that is done at home, at other schools, activities and community service. Our professional transcripts are part of your student’s permanent record. Should you transfer to another school, CPA will transfer your student records for you. Our credits have been accepted by top colleges across the Nation!
CALENDAR: Students in the Online School follow the same schedule as our on- campus students. School is in session for 34 weeks. Classes begin on August 17, 2010 and end May 31, 2010. Students are offered many breaks and weeks off.
LESSON PLANS: Teacher lesson plans are posted two weeks in advance giving students flexibility in completing their lessons. Students will turn in work that needs to be graded by a teacher each Tuesday. This may be done by email, fax or mail.
EXTENSIONS: Students may request a one week extension on course work when needed.
MODIFICATIONS: If a student is struggling with the work the parent must contact the teacher and the parent, student and teacher may modify or change the work.
ACCOUNTABILITY: Students in CPA Distance Classical students are accountable to their teachers. Having accountability can enhance the quality and amount of work your student may be willing to accomplish.
SKYPE: Online students will get to participate in presentations, book reports, etc. with our on-campus students using Skype and a webcam.
TEACHER SUPPORT: Each student will be assigned a teacher. Students in 5th grade -High depending on the courses they are taking. Teachers will help where should students have questions about the lesson plans. Teachers provide support, but do not provide tutoring. Students that struggle in a subject may need to hire a tutor for additional teaching.
COMPUTER REQUIREMENTS: An computer and internet connection is required for the Distance Classical School. Computers must have MS Word. Student do not do their work on the computer but will need the computer to download lesson plans and communicate with their teacher.
STUDENT RECORDS AND REPORTING: Since your student is automatically enrolled in the CPA Homeschool Academy along with your Classical School Online enrollment you will be asked to submit your student records. Please request the CPA Homeschool Packet so you have the requirements for reporting and records.
CENTRAL FLORIDA FAMILIES: Enrollment in our M or W on-campus program from 9-2 will give your student a day of fun activities, learning centers and supervised homework. Please go to the on-campus Classical School website and request a packet for this program. Students that come on campus must follow all admission policies of the on-campus program and bring a laptop computer.
STEPS TO ENROLL
1. REQUEST A BROCHURE (SORRY 2010-2011 IS NOT POSTED YET--COMING SOON!) A brochure on our Distance Classical School will be emailed to you immediately upon request.
2. Attend an Online Information Webinar or if local sign-up for an on campus Information meeting.

ENROLLMENT: Once you have read the brochure and would like to enroll you may click on Enroll Now on this website to complete your application, pay your registration fees (check or credit card), pay in full or set up your monthly payment plan. (Registration fees are non-refundable and are paid at the time of enrollment.) Tuition is due and payable by June 1 or you may set up your monthly payment plan to begin in June or July.

Registration Fees: $250.00 Tuition: $800.00 (includes CPA Homeschool Academy for record keeping and legal accountability, Lesson Plans for 34 weeks for all subjects on the schedule, Teacher grading of Writing and Projects, Teacher posted grades for homework, reporting done by teachers so parents don't have to do any CPA reporting of Progress and Attendance. Tuition does not include new student 10-12 credit review fee or senior graduation fees.
